What we do:
County Knowledge is a website dedicated to helping small businesses get noticed.
Businesses can only be listed on County Knowledge if they have been recommended by 2 or more members – A business cannot buy their way in. The result being that County Knowledge lists a wealth of recommended brilliant businesses across the UK who are extremely good at what they do, are all trustworthy and more importantly, all come recommended.
County Knowledge is an important resource for anyone living within an area, whether you are new to the area, or established and just can’t find what you are looking for.
Membership is free, and also comes with a free app. Once you become a member you can then recommend businesses to us and you can have instant access to those niche businesses in your area.
Once listed, a business can then, for a small fee, upgrade to a featured listing and be promoted by County Knowledge using local marketing channels and our extensive database.
Depending on the listings package you choose, we will market your company in a number of ways: links to your website, contact details, editorial and references to your company through social media.
We are looking for people who are sociable, outgoing, self-motivated and good at networking
You will preferably have lived in their area for a number of years and have a good knowledge of local events and businesses.
You need to be good at networking and enjoy connecting people. Some knowledge of social media, marketing and sales would be a bonus but not essential.
This role would suit someone looking to work from home on a part-time or full-time basis and you would be paid on commission only.
You will be in charge of promoting County Knowledge in your area, using marketing material provided.
You will be in charge of arranging meeting with recommended businesses in your area and converting them to paying members.
At least three new listings need to be converted per month.
You will maintain existing converted listings on the website, and keep their profile up to date.
You will be responsible for promoting their businesses through social media and on the website. Building a good working relationship with them.
You will be in charge of updating the website for your area. (paid training on the website will be provided)
You will be required to become a member of a local networking group such as Athena to help promote County Knowledge and connect with future clients. (a social networking forum, annual fee to be paid by County Knowledge.)
Reporting back to Head Office monthly an brief update on listings converted and renewed.
Commission earned – between £7,750.00 and £12,960 in the first year and £15,552.00 and £25,920.00 in the second year.
